Foam pit
A pit from PE-Redskaber can consist of a foam pad or loose foam cubes, with or without height adjustment function, and can be open or closed with edge pads.
The foam pad is the "heart" of the pit. The quality of the foam is of the utmost importance. It must have the right hardness to provide optimum safety. The foam pad has a cover of stretch fabric of a strong quality. The fabric is divided into 3 colours to give the gymnast better orientation in the air, and thus greater safety. The use of loose foam increases the safety of multi-rotations with and without twists. The risk of injury, in case of an accidental landing, is minimized.
The lift (raising/lowering mechanism) offers an incredible number of possibilities - first of all as a jumping platform for practising and learning new jumps and techniques. PE-Redskaber installs pits which can be raised up to 220 cm - of course with fixed safety covers so that no one can fall underneath.
Closed pits can be installed in halls where other sport activities are also taking place. A neat transition is provided between the fixed and the movable floor, so that handball, football and badminton, for example, can be played both on and next to the closed pit.
The edge pads provide extra safety that significantly reduces the risk of a user or gymnast hitting the edges of the pit.
Quality makes the pit a good investment
We never compromise on quality
We know that a pit is a big investment. But when it comes to materials and craftsmanship, we never compromise. And the higher the quality, the more durable and longer the life of your foam pit in the end, which is why quality also helps determine whether your pit is a good investment.
Pits with lots of possibilities
A pit gives you (even) more possibilities to make the most of your gym space:
- Other sports can be played on the floor when the pit is closed and not in use
- Avoiding heavy lifting of landing mats
- Allows users to learn new jumps - with many repetitions and soft landings
You can adjust the landing height quickly and easily. PE-Redskabers manufactures pits which can be raised up to 220 cm.
A partner you can talk to from the first sketch to the final installation
"Well begun is half done." That's why we make sure these questions (and many more) are clarified at the initial stage:
- What are the actual needs of the users of the pit?
- How long can the run-up be?
- How high will the ceiling above the pit be?
- Is the location of the pit appropriate in relation to the other activities in the hall?
