AirTrack +

A multifunctional tumble track

With an AirTrack + sport clubs will expand their possibilities with the multifunctional tumble track which can be used by everyone, from children to adults and from beginners to elite gymnasts.

The AirTrack+ was developed with a big focus on safety, high quality, a good rebound and easy handling.

Our AirTrack+ now comes with a new patent pending hook system at both ends, so you can easily replace the hook connection strip if it gets worn. Furthermore, our Airtrack+ has VELCRO® on both sides (not replaceable). This means that the track can easily be attached to other equipment without any risk that the parts slide from each other.

In addition, the gym track has no zips. The track is basically air-tight and can be used without a stationary blower.

The story of the AirTrack

The AirTrack originated from PE-Redskaber's efforts to create long gym tracks, initially used in the United States during the 1990s. These tracks were heavy and large and couldn’t be stored in the equipment rooms of sports halls.

In the summer of 1995, the founder of PE-Redskaber, Preben Ebsen, was inspired by children playing on a bouncy castle. This sparked the idea to develop a long, narrow inflatable track. By adding a blower that continuously pumped air into the track, the first AirTrack was created. The name "AirTrack" was derived from the name of the traditional long gym tracks. The initial models were 3 meters wide, 70 cm high, and came in lengths of 12 and 15 meters. Eventually, the height of the tracks was adjusted to 50 cm.
The development of airtracks continued and today they are available in nearly every size imaginable.

From a life raft to a gym track

In the search for the perfect gym track In the summer of 1997, while visiting a boat fair, Preben, the founder of PE-Redskaber, stumbled upon the bottom of a life raft, which was 7.5 cm high and airtight. This discovery inspired the development of an airtight track called the "PE Plus Gym Track," designed to be placed under the PE Foam tracks that were used at that time (PE Foam Track was a foam track that Preben developed back in 1993).

In 1997, PE-Redskaber secured a utility model protection for an airtight gymnastics track for tumbling and gymnastics use (PE Plus), which lasted for 10 years, until 2007.

PE-Redskaber became the first company in the world to utilize airtight units in gymnastics, a practice that has since become widespread. With over 25 years of experience, PE-Redskaber continues to be a leader in producing high quality airtight products for gymnastics.

Blower is not included. You can find suitable blowers under the 'Accessories' tab.

"We chose to try out a couple of smaller and more handy airtracks, as our youth instructors in recreational gymnastics struggled too much with the large ones (12m and 15m) we already had, which need to be rolled in and out 5 times a week in our various halls.
We found these 6m airtracks much more attractive and easier to handle and discovered all the possibilities they brought with them, so we chose to invest in an additional 3, giving us 1 at each of our 5 locations in Næstved. Thanks to PE-Redskaber for all the help."
